So we are all getting ready to celebrate the New Year 2010, as 2009 is drawing to a close.

I personally am getting ready for my big night out, to bring in 2010 with a bang, so have prepared my party clothes, champagne on ice and am ready to go. And I have a feeling that tonight is going to be a good night as I love fireworks and will be close to the London eye which promises to bring a display that will be worth standing out in the cold for, with snow predicted I suspect I will still be very cold as wrapping up warm as opposed to looking good I will go for the latter! But before I get into the party mood I thought I would quickly reflect upon the year so far and the resolutions that people will soon be making, which I suspect after the hang over will be long forgotten.

I will remember 2009 for bringing in a new president to the USA President Barrack Obama and the aspirations and dreams that people have for him to fulfil, but he bought a breath of fresh air to America with the problems that the Bush administration had created. So far it seems Obama is doing well and the public still admire and love him, with the ethnic minorities all over the world being inspired by the hope that him having made it as the President of the most powerful country in the world has bough to them. I guess anyone can dream a dream and it just may become a reality as it did for Susan Boyle.

I will always remember 2009 as being the year when the King of Pop Michael Jackson died at the age of 50 and before his 50 concerts at the 02 in London, which I had tickets for, so had missed the opportunity to see him perform live, and, the film This Is It, proved the critics wrong as to what his performance would have been, as the rehearsals projected in the film where phenomenal and it was truly a life cut short that was a tragic loss to society as a unique performer had died with still a lot to give to the world.

A few quotes from a person Mahatma Ghandi that I personally admire for the courage against adversity as we bring in the new year here is some food for thought from him:-

"To forgive is not to forget. The merit lies in loving in spite of the vivid knowledge that the one that must be loved is not a friend."

"Non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good".

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated".

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong".

"There is more to life than simply increasing its speed".

We must be the change we wish to see.

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others".

"The moment there is suspicion about a person's motives, everything he does becomes tainted".

"Suffering cheerfully endured, ceases to be suffering and is transmuted into an ineffable joy".

So lets us think about our resolutions very carefully and only make them if we actually will endeavor to keep them, and, more importantly to live your life in a way that benefits not only you but others around you.

May 2010 bring you all a lot of peace, happiness and prosperity in all aspects.

I thank everyone that has supported me this year and also for instructing me.
